Registration for Fordham Students
Registration for Session I is closed. Please view our Session II classes.
Fordham University students can register for Summer 2020 courses on March 30th
Current Fordham students should register for summer courses and housing through the student access portal.
Fordham University seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or better may, with the approval of their dean and departmental advisor, register for courses offered in their major department that begin with the digit 5. Please send permissions along with your FIDN and course preference to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fordham students who are not able to take a traditional Summer Session class because they live at a distance or have work or familial obligations that prevent them from doing so are eligible to register for online courses via my.fordham.edu when they become eligible for fall registration. For 2020, Fordham College Rose Hill and Lincoln Center students may take two online course per summer as part of their 8-credit limit; Gabelli students may take two online courses per summer as part of their 12-credit limit. Please note: Students who register for more than the permitted number of classes will be dropped from all online classes.
Waitlist instructions: Space in these courses is limited. Overrides of the course caps or reserve rules are not possible. If the online course you want is full, you can put yourself on a waitlist. Try to register for the class(es) as you normally would in my.fordham.edu. When you see the registration error message, you will have the option to select "Waitlisted" on the dropdown menu at the bottom right of the registration screen and hit "Submit". You will be contacted at your preferred email address if a space becomes available, and you will have 48 hours to register via my.fordham.edu.
Students should be aware that, while convenient, online courses are highly-demanding and require more self-discipline than attending in-person lecture courses. Although classes are asynchronous, meaning that you can work on them when you choose, there are due dates for assignments, and it is easy to fall behind. We encourage you to speak with your class dean or the Summer Session dean to determine whether an online course will be a good fit for you. Syllabi are posted with the course descriptions where possible. Please do not register for an online course if you anticipate any possibility of disruption to your accessibility to Blackboard for the duration of the class. Being unable to log into the course after the add-drop period will not be considered grounds for exceptions to the refund schedule.
Fordham University students in good standing are eligible to receive credit while interning over the summer. Learn more about internships.
