Title IX/Institutional Equity and Compliance

The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance / Title IX Coordinator’s Office provides University leadership in enhancing a respectful, diverse, and inclusive work and learning environment for the Fordham Community.  As a Jesuit University, we uphold values of equity, diversity, and social justice. 

This office supports the University’s mission and compliance efforts in the areas of equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention including sexual harassment.  The Director of the office is also the designated Title IX Coordinator for the University.

The Director of Institutional Equity and Compliance is the University’s compliance officer for all forms of discrimination and is specifically designated as the University’s Title IX Coordinator, responsible for the University’s Title IX compliance efforts and violations of University policies, including gender equity in athletics, and all forms of discrimination, limitations on consensual relationships, sex and gender discrimination, sexual harassment, rape / sex abuse, other sexual misconduct, stalking, forcible touching, dating and domestic violence, intimidation and retaliation for filing such complaints. 

Inquiries concerning the application of Title IX and its implementing regulation may be referred to the designated Title IX Coordinator or to the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education.
